Over the past several months, I was responsible for the redesign and implementation of a project that resulted in a new public-facing product.
In a meeting, my manager announced that the new product is available. Afterwards, he also shared it in our team chat so everyone could access it.
However, he didn't mention my contribution at all. He simply announced that it was now available.
What makes me wonder is that a few months ago, when other colleagues completed a comparable piece of work, the same manager thanked them by name.
I do wonder whether this is something I should simply ignore or whether it makes sense to respond to his team chat message.
I was thinking of adding a brief comment expressing that I'm pleased the project has gone live, mentioning that I enjoyed working on it and noting that further improvements are already planned.
The intention wouldn't be to ask for recognition, but rather to naturally signal that I was involved and that I'm a contact person for future questions or improvements.
Would that come across as professional, or would it look like I'm trying to reclaim credit after the fact?
