I remember a short two or three night tv show/movie, where the story spans three time periods. Similar to Chiefs, but the periods are 1930s/1940s, mid 70s to mid 80s (present time) and near future (2000s?).
Main story line is a basic dead Jane Doe buried in the 30s, but the cold case pops up in the 70s and near future time periods.
I believe it happens on the west coast/LA area.
Think the same family name in all three time periods, possible all in law enforcement.
Most memorable scene happens in the near future period where we find a white police officer has his job because of affirmative action in a mainly a Hispanic police force after he punches a Hispanic fellow officer in the station (LA area feeling).
No searches I have tried seems to be able to find it on CBS, NBC,ABC. Very low possibility it was on CTV, since it had an American feel to it. I believe it was on once in the mid 70s, maybe 80s.
